And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. – Luke 2:10
Every year in December, Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. One thing we like to do is hear again the story of his birth, and sing our favourite Christmas songs that celebrate it.
- Hark! The herald angels sing
- We three Kings
- Silent Night
- O Holy Night
- Angels we have heard on high
- The first noel
- Joy to the World
Why do we still celebrate something that happened over two thousand years ago? Jesus was God’s gift to an undeserving human race. The apostle Paul said it this way, “Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners,” (1 Timothy 1:15) and Jesus himself said: “God so loved the world, that he sent his only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Please join us to learn, sing and celebrate the day when our Creator sent Jesus, so we can be reconciled to him.
